due dates for IF

I have been wondering this question for awhile now. Are due dates different for IF patients then naturally conceived? I know that it goes off of your last months period, which would be 7/28 but i would be due to get af Aug 26 but because of the meds i won't be getting it in the month of Aug. So if my transfer in September gives me a bfp then what would the Dr go off of to give me a due date? would it be the first date of last months period or would it be the period that i would've gotten in Aug but didn't due to meds?

Kimmie, They will probably, I could be wrong, date your pregnancy by ultrasound.

You could count your Egg Retrieval as your Ovulation date and go off that if you like. That is what I did and it seemed to be on target with my ultrasounds and the babies sizes. Many pregnancy calendars can calculate by Ovulation date to give you estimated due date if you get a bfp. Good Luck to you. Chloe

ivf.ca has a great calculator; you can input your ER date and it will give you your EDD plus several other cool bits of info!
