POAS survey - odds of false negative

I just POASed yesterday, and got a negative (11dp3dt). Monday is beta, so we'll see. While disappointed, i know that one could get negative then went on to get positive beta. So here I'd like to do an informal survey. (how does one create a poll? That'd be useful)

-- what's your POAS result if you have done so during your 2ww? If you have done more than one, just the last one counts (I assume that the last one being the more accurate?)

-- What's your beta result?

Thanks -- the more response, the better. I want to calculate how many false negatives there are (i.e. HPT negative, but positive beta)...To get a stats that's somewhat good, need as big a sample as possible. Thanks!

I also got a few good reference site regarding HPT.

They're designed to not produce false positive, but to tolerate false negative - since in real life, if you get a negative and still do not have period, then the suggestion would be to test again in 2 to 3 days, no harm done. I guess it only makes sense.

i always ovulated late on clomid. with my son, i tested at cd30 and got a negative. i assumed my pd was about to come b/c i had slight cramping. but it didn't come so i tested 5 days later. a quick positive! a couple days later i had a beta and it was 3033.

with this pg, i didn't do betas. i'm 9w2d and haven't had an u/s or anything. we conceived naturally (shocker!!!) so i'm not considered high risk or anything, even though this is my 5th time to get pg (i have 1 live child). i'm just having faith that all is okay. i go in at 11 weeks for my first u/s. praying hard that this little bean is real and will stick!
