Not doubling at all, is there any hope??

Hi
This is my 3rd BFP, the 2 others ended in m/c at 7 weeks and 17 weeks so I am praying third times a charm but I am off to a bumpy beta start!
We tranfered 3 day 6 blasts of ok quality.
Started getting hpt + on day 12.
Day 17 beta 305 ( really pleased with that)
Day 19 458 ( uh oh) It was done at a different lab though)
Do I still have a chance,
What do you think?
The last BFP the betas were slow to double too so I am hoping maybe that it is just me ! Any positive outcomes are welcome
Thanks Sara

I'm sorry for your losses. I think you still have a chance. You can't compare betas done at different labs. All lab machines are calibrated differently. Hang in there.

I agree with jax, unless the betas were run in the same lab your not going to see accurate results. I work in a lab so I know this is very true. Every machine is different. If we have 2 of the same machine in our lab we do weekly tests to make sure they are running within a certain percent of each other. Different labs will get different values. So keep you fingers crossed for you next beta at the same lab.

Can I ask why 2 different labs were used, you would think the dr would know that.?

Thanks for all your hope. The reason that they were done in two labs is for the first one the hospital had to send it out as their machine was broken. ( I live in Bermuda so it couldn't get repaired till the day I went for my second.) I keep thinking then I should have just continued going to that lab to keeep the continuity. Hindsight is a wonderful thing though. I am still trying to stay positive but I feel today like my bloating in my abdomen is gone and I am sure that is not good. My boobs are still sore but it is so hard to analyse symptoms when you are on PIO.
Well there is not much I can do till Mon and even then I don't really get the results til late in teh afternoon so I will try to stay distracted and stay positive.
Thanks again
Sara
