Need some help...with numbers
Ok I have been on the roller coaster ride of my life. I have been posting on other boards and they have been great but since this is the BETA board I thought I would try here for some encouragement or experience you guys may have had.
My numbers were 15dpiui beta 11 17dpiui beta 19 progesterone 11.2 19dpiui beta 60.5 progesterone 12.5 22dpiui beta 237 progesterone 19.5 25dpiui beta 532 progesterone 13 (this was todays) I did double from Tuesday to today but it was 3 days and I just barely over doubled and my progesterone went down. They like to see doubling in 48 hours even though I have heard it's ok as long as it's 48-72 hours. They think I may have an ectopic even though I have NO signs of that. No spotting or anything no pain except occasional twinges. What do you guys think ?? I'm trying not to give up yet but this is not the news I wanted today ....I was just starting to get hopeful. Any advice is more than appreciated Sam

My RE told me that betas should double every three days. He didn't say 2 to 3, but three. I still looked for 48 hours though...LOL! There was a point where my betas slowed down.
As for the progesterone, mine dropped form 18.5 to 10 during my first pg with dd and dropped similarly this time too. I took supp's and it went up with no further issues. I think that the only thing that will give you answers is an u/s. Do you have one scheduled? I'm continuing to say prayers for you! |

Sam,
I don't think your numbers look bad but would be more concerned about your progesterone. Are you on progesterone supplement? Your number from 19 to 22 almost quadrupled which is close and your number from today isn't that off. I can totally relate to what you are going through I'm in beta hell and just wanted to stop my progesterone today and get this over with. After a lengthy conversation with the nurse today the REs are being conservative and wants to wait until the 4th draw to make a determination to get more data as I'm also a candidate for etopic. I definteily wouldn't give up the ship yet! I understand how frustrating this is and I hope you have a good outcome. Are they repeating on Monday? I'm in the same boat with cramps sore boobs, more sore and these slow rising betas, UGH GRRR. HUGS Stacey |

No problem Sam, very true gonna be a long long weekend. I'm working on Monday so I will go get my blood work early and onto the office so when I get the news in the afteroon I will be on my way home. I had my progesterone checked this past time and never asked what it was I was so preoccupied by the beta. They didn't seem to be concerned about it but the main thing is the beta anyway. HUGS
