Beta re-test in 6 days?

Hi everyone - I'm new to this board but I'm hoping you can help me. I went for my first beta on Saturday and got the results today. I was 16dpo when I tested and am 18dpo now.My result was 116 which I don't think is that good. I think it's on the low side which is concerning but not jump out the window type stuff yet. I'll hang on.

My concern is that the nurse told me not to get another until Friday or Monday so that would be 6 days or 9 days after the first one. Why would they wait so long? That doesn't seem normal based on what I'm reading. Do they not think it's worth looking at sooner. That is kind of freaking me out.

Your beta sounds fine to me. I'm currently 18 weeks pg (with a natural phenomenon) and my first beta at 16dpo was 108. It's all in what the 2nd # does. Normally, betas are drawn 2 days apart, but having it drawn on Friday isn't a problem. The only bad thing is having to wait it out. You could always insist on another sooner.

I had a second beta 2 days after the first then a third 4 days later. I think they just want to give it enough time to see for sure what is happening. Waiting is the worst and they just don't understand it. good luck

Thank Ladies

This is going to be torture. I'll have to wait all week to go on Friday and then wait all weekend to get the test. I'm just reading all these posts and I am concerned about how low it is at 16dpo compared to the others. I understand it's how it moves that matters but I know I will just obsess about this until I get the result.

If I take HPTs over the weekend will that tell me if anything changes? I'm going to be so anxious, I know I'll need some reassurance.
