2nd Beta doubling time - 52.06 hrs???

Ok ladies, my 2nd beta is in from yesterday, it is 1133. I was really hoping that it would double in 48 hrs, meaning it would have been approx. 1212. Am I silly for being worried?

Recap:

1st beta
14dpiui
HCG: 606
E2: 763
P4: 89

2nd beta
16dpiui
HCG: 1133
E2: 902
P4: 96

Thanks!!! RE scheduled me for 3rd beta & US on Thurs 06/28/07, 20dpiui.

Sounds great to me, as it is supposed to double every 48-72 hours. Your P4 looks great also!

Ali,

Your beta should double every 48-72 hours so you are within normal range. Plus betas tend to slow down once they reach 1200.

For 14dpiui, a beta of 606 is really high!! My beta at that stage was 356 and at 16dp was 898 and I'm having twins. I can't wait to see what your u/s shows!

Hang in there! I know this is so stressful!!

Oh and CONGRATULATIONS!!

Angela

thanks for the replies

I know it is silly, we all worry at this stage I guess! I am sure you are right that as it gets bigger, it slows down in doubling. I will have to keep you guys posted!

ultrasound update

Well, it is twins! We saw two sacs today. It is very early (4w6d) so I am hoping everything goes well, but as of now, I am a twin mommy! I am just thankful it was not ectopic and ready for the next hurdle of fetal poles/HB's!!!

I will go back in one week for more BW & US to check progression.
