very low betas

I am very concerned with my beta results
I had IVF with 2 blasts transferred on Day 5
1st beta 6/13 at 14 dpo =12
2nd beta 6/15 = 25

I had my 3rd beta today and am waiting for the nurse to call, which will be likely late this afternoon. This is agony. Has anyone had success with such low numbers?

My RE said that he looks for a beta of 25 or more at 14dpo. You are close to that and your numbers DID double in 48 hours. Very best of luck. Please update your beta number for today. I will be crossing fingers AND toes for you!

Jane, I'm in a very similar situation. My first beta was 10 days after my 5 day transfer, and number 2 was at 12 days past. My first was 31 and my second was like 58. So my numbers didn't quite double, but I talked with the nurse and they said they like to see them doubling in 48-72 hours. I asked her if I should have a third and she said that's one of the options the dr. can check off for the patient when he's reviewing the betas, but that he didn't feel it was necessary, so he just checked off for me to go straight to my u/s-which is next monday. I talked with another nurse yesterday and asked her what's more important, the number or the fact that it's going up, and she said the fact that it's going up. So try not to worry--we both could just have late implanters.

I got my 3rd beta results yesterday and they were 215. The nurse said that they were still low and scheduled and u/s sound for June 27th. I asked her what the betas being low meant and she said that it may not be a viable pregnancy. So...I am in for more waiting.
Heather..let us know what happens at your ultrasound on Monday.

Your increases look good so I hope you aren't too discouraged by the nurses comments. They are not known for thowing out the hope too easily....Good Luck!

I just had IUI on June 8/07 and had a positive HPT on June 24th (very faint). So I went in yesterday for a HCG and it came back at 10 (Day 16 after Ovulation). I'm going in tomorrow for another HCG. I heard that the number should be around 100 on day 14. I had a blighted ovum in March and had low HCG then too. Really worried that it's happening again. Any advice?

Carcado, I'm in the same boat. I had an early m/c (blighted ovum?) at the end of March. I ovulated sometime around June 8th (the ONE month I don't use the monitor! I was going on vacation with my sons while my DH stayed here. The only time we did anything that month was the 4th.) I had a faint positive on the 22nd and they have remained faint. I went for my first HCG today and it was 49.05. (Anyone heard of the decimels with betas?) I know it should be higher. I'm like 18dpo. Anyway, I wish you the best. I'd love for us both to be able to post how great things are going and silly it was to worry in a few months!

After my betas being 12, 25, 215, 1642, I went for my first ultrasound on Wednesday and we only saw the gestational sac and yolk sac and it is measuring 4 weeks and 5 days, when we are sure that I am 6 weeks,because of ivf. The doctor had no explaination, just come back in a week and do another ultrasound. I have had on and off brown spotting for 2 weeks (not heavy spotting). Does this sound like a blighted ovum?

I have low hgc also it was
12 dpo 21
14 dpo 34
18 dpo 76
so far you ar the closest person I can find that had numbers like mine. I was wondering what ended up happening?
