Now totally confused again- do I have an ectopic??
So this is my saga so far. Did my first IVF (ER 5/20 ET 5/23) and got positive beta at 32. Then is only went to 40, then it went to 107, and then 5 days later it is now at 1433. I had an u/s this morning and RE thought there might be a tiny sac but not definitive at all. So I have to go back on thur for another u/s. So for those who know anything about ectopic, is it looking like it is? Can a sac appear is just two days?

as someone who has had a few ectopics, it doesn't sound like one. From what my RE has said, a beta of 1500 is about the earliest you can see anything. Sounds promising to me, congrats!!

With my last pregnancy they told my IM that it was probably an ectopic. They had me go in for an early u/s at 5w2d, my beta the day before was 900 something. I asked the tech what they look for. She said they look for an area in the tube that might look like it has fluid in it. If the tech saw the sac in the uterus you don't have anything to worry about. You are the same place I was and we saw the same as you, just a sac. (it was too small for the tech to measure though) At this stage things change VERY quickly. It's possible that you will see the fetal pole at the next appt. One day you will just see the fetal pole and yoke sac and the next see the heartbeat. We saw the heartbeat at 6w2d.
Hang in there, I know it's not easy, but try your best not to think about it to much. Try not to stress. Hugs, Amy
