I agree-- there's hope! I've been through beta hell myself numerous times and I agree with Leslie--- it's best to get an u/s and go by it at this point than to continue with additional betas which will only make you stress more. They should be able to see something by now with a vaginal u/s, so I would request one. Good luck!

I would say your numbers look very promising. I have seen so many posts of women with betas going up with different doubling times and there does tend to be the odd one that does not seem to fit the mold so to speak. This is not an exact science hun, everybody and every pg is different. Of course an US would tell you more, so many betas become too stressful so I wish you all the luck in the world! Love, Emma xxxx

Just wanted to say thank you ladies for your kind words and positive thoughts. I have an US on Monday - that feels like a lifetime away, but at least I will know then.
Thanks again!

Thanks Leslie...I need all the luck I can get as I just got todays beta back and it only went from 5842 to 8356 doubling time of a whopping 92.96 hours - needless to say, I don't hold out much hope

After your beta hits around 3500 it no longer doubles as quickly. So DEFINITELY do not lose hope based upon the most recent numbers!!!! I'm looking forward to hearing the good news after Monday's u/s!!

Back from my US and it doesn't look good - my OB saw a sac and a fetal pole that measured 6W6D right on actually) but no signs of a fetal HB. I have and apointment at the hospital in a couple of hours for another scan with a better US machine. If no heartbeat then my OB will schedule me for a D&C on Wed. or Thur. We leave for Europe on Thursday...ugg.
Thanks again for your thoughts!

I just want to say if it's any help, with my prior pregnancy I had a transvaginal ultrasound at 6w5d and they saw a sac and a pole measuring a little small, but no heartbeat. They repeated the ultrasound at 7w3d and they saw twins, both with good heartbeats and measuring within a day or two of the right date! We lost one of the twins at 12wks, but the other was fine. I would just be cautious with such early ultrasound - it is so early that it is possible not to see everything yet. If you do end up needing a D&C, I would request another ultrasound that day. My thoughts are with you. I hope you get good news.
