Please help with beta question
I have a quick question please. At 6 weeks pregnant my hcg was 21,071 and I had an ultrasound that showed 6 wk fetus with heart rate of 100 bpm. I am currently 7.3 weeks pregnant and hcg is 45,350.
11/27/06 hcg 21,071 12/07/06 hcg 45,350 (10 days in between) Does the doubling time slow down when numbers are this high? I am just worried, I do have an appoinment with my doctor on 12/11/06. Thanks, Lara

Absolutely. They definitely slow down, and my understanding is that they slow down the higher they get, starting at 6,000 (if not before then). There are some websites out there that explain this in more detail.
Since your dr. has seen the baby & a heartbeat, you shouldn't rely on hcg #'s anymore. Ultrasounds are much more accurate. Good luck to you! |
