(UPDATED) Tell me this looks normal

I looked on betabase and it seems ok for a singleton pregnancy. High but still in an ok range.

11 DPO: 81
17 DPO: 2098

Doubling time of 30.7 hours.

I'm fearful of a molar pregnancy and/or multiples! (I know, I know. I should just be glad to be pregnant but the thought frightens me. I would much prefer one solitary baby.)

So anyone able to calm my fears? It can totally be a healthy singleton, right?

Rachael

From my internet reading I think that a molar pregnacy has HUGE beta numbers - as in impossiblly off the charts #s. So don't worry about that.

As for the multiples...well...when is your u/s? That is the only way to tell.

My U/S is next week. It's scheduled for Wednesday but I think I'm moving it to Friday. And hopefully I'll have a better chance of seeing a heartbeat then.

Thanks for your reply.

Is it true that beta numbers are not a good indicator of multiples, especially this early in pregnancy? What about doubling time?

Thank you for helping to ease my fears about a molar preg.

Your numbers look very normal for a singleton, or possibly for mults. Did you use fertility drugs? Did you have multiple mature follicles? The best indicator of how many are in there is a scan, that's for sure!

Beta numbers are just a measure of how much HCG your body is producing. The first beta just validates pregnancy and those after help show viability of fetus. It is not an indicator of multiples (unfortunately) You will have to wait for u/s. But like the other said Molars are WAY higher. Mine at 19dpo was 5500 something and I just delivered a healthy singleton about 5 months ago Congrats and hope you have a happy and healthy 9 mos!

I just posted to someone else on multiple/singleton betas...high betas can indicate a multiple pg, but they don't nessisarilly mean a multiple pg. I'm a great example:

9 days post 3 day transfer: beta 296. Singelton pg.
10 days post 3 day transfer: beta 136: triplet pg.

Hoping you have one nice solid pg in there. Also, it's completely normal to start worrying about the pg...when trying to get pg, we worry if we will get pg. Once we are pg, we worry that everything is going okay. Hopefully the u/s will put your mind at ease!

Good luck!

Thanks so much for your replies. I don't know any of you but you've all brightened my day more than anyone else I know LOL! Pregnancy is never the same after a miscarriage. I'm cautiously hopeful this time!

My HCG at 17dpo was around 1000 and I am pregnant with twins! Sounds like multiples to me!

Nope, they are not a good indicator...my first beta was 12p5dt was 828.
Singleton only...and just for the record...it was IVF, AND we only transfered one! and doubling time...I doubled quite quick too, but I don't remember my exact doubling time.

Hope that helps~!
