VERY VERY HIGH HCG!! Please help!

Long story short...I was on Follistim and only had one follie at trigger. I had the IUI on Nov 6 2006. I am VERY scared about a molar because of my first beta result (below). I have yet to come across anyone with a higher beta! Please help!!!! My RE says he's not worried but I don't see how this is going to be okay!!!

IUI 11/6/06
14dpIUI - 11/20/06: HCG 2088 (prog 50.4)
18dpIUI - 11/24/06: HCG ????

The first thing that pops into mind for me is the possibility that the lab may have gotten the number wrong. With my first beta I was 13dp3dt(16dpo) and the number came back at 1488. We were so excited then my next beta came back at 56.5. I was completely stunned and asked them why the discrepancy? Even if I had lost the pregnancy it wouldn't have dropped that much in two days... They reran the first beta and had to correct the number, it wasn't 1488 it was 43! We are currently 16w3d so all turned out fine.

The next thing that comes to mind is splitting.(I know someone with identical triplets)

The last thing that comes to mind for me is the possibility that that one follicle had more than one egg in it.(My previous IM had hidden eggs, multiple eggs in one follicle that weren't seen on the u/s, at retreival time.)

Take a deep breath and remember it's not all about the first number it's how the numbers increase.

Hugs,
Amy

Not sure, but I may have had twins but one didn't survive (there was one perfect sac and another really small sac in the ultrasound). I should know more with my next ultrasound.
