low beta?

I made it! After 3 years, 6 iuis and 2 IVFs I finally got my first positive. Now I'm worried my numbers aren't strong.

I am 11dp3dt and my HCG is 81, progesterone is 21 and estrogen is 113. Is the "beta" the HCG number and if so is that low?

Also, I know it should be doubling but is that every 24 hours or every 48 hours. I don't go back until Wed. so should the number double two times for the 2 days?

81 is great- mine was 44.1 at 12dp3dt and I am 13 weeks pregnant
your beta/hcg number is suppose to double every 48-72 hours so ideally you would want it to be at least 190 on wed but if it dosent double dont worry. Tons and Tons of woman have betas that dont double at first or third and go onto having healthy pregnancies.
Worry if it drops
many will say its not the number but how it rises that matters
i would have been THRILLED with 81
congratualtions!

I just got my first ever BFP as well with IVF and how can we help but worry. Mine was 99 and I felt nervous as well. But the more I read the more it seems to say that as long as the numbers go up your ok. My second beta is on Wed. as well, let me know how it goes.

My second beta went from 99 (9dp5dt) to 263 (11dp5dt) so the nurse said it more than doubled. What was your second?

Thanks for the websites Texas, I loved the calculator.

Jasper, your number looks great!! My beta today was 164 so its a little more than double the 81 I got on Monday. Cautious optimism is my motto for the next few weeks.

When do you go in again for bloodwork? I thought I'd have to go in every other day for more betas but my doc seems pretty confident - I don't go in until Wednesday for the U/S. Are you getting more betas this week? I kind of wish I could go in 2 days for some more reassuring. Waiting until next week will be rough.

One more question: is it save to have "relations"? My doc said yes but I am nervous to mess up this pregnancy.

Jasper,
I just looked at your profile and I see we have a lot in common. I'm unexplained and did the 6 IUIs too. I'm a math teacher. What do you teach?
