3rd beta lower than expected

I have a question about my beta numbers.

My first beta was 12dp3dt and was 322
2nd beta was 15dp3dt and was 1036
3rd beta today at 22dp3dt and was 5136

I know these are still pretty high numbers but the nurse said they expected my beta to be higher today. Does this still seem ok? I just can't help worrying...

THanks in advance!

thanks ladies! my u/s is scheduled for this Thusday, hopefully things will be great!
it is funny how we depend on these numbers so much! I was under the impression that numbers should double every 48 hours...who knows, I think I will feel better after the u/s. With my first pg. I don't even think they told me the numbers...just you're pregnant...oh well!

Hi ladies,

I am having a really bad day and was hoping someone could try to ease my mind???? I finally got a BFP on 11/6 during a FET cycle. My beta was 93.4 at 10dp5dt. My next beta was 191 at 12dp5dt. Doctor said everything looked great and would see me in a couple of weeks. Of course I was having a lot of anxiety, I miscarried before at 6 weeks and had good betas then and have had 2 chem pg, so anxiety is to be expected but I called and asked if we could do anything to ease my mind that the pregnancy was progressing before I went in for my u/s on 11/22. Dr said no problem come in and we'll do an early u/s and beta. I went in yesterday and Dr said he thought he saw the beginning of a sak (I would be right about 5w1d) and was happy with what he saw. He said any beta above 1000 and he'd be happy. My beta came back at 1027. Of course now I am so upset and freaking out because if my beta was supposed to double daily I should be like 2000. At 1027 I'm only doubling every 2.88 days which is scary, not to mention my numbers still seem so low. My doctor is happy and said we'll do another u/s next week and should easily see the sak but I am terrified something is wrong. Any positive stories would be greatly appreciated!

Dont worry your #'s aren't suppose to double every 24 hours, it is every 48-72 hours. I really think you are okay. I had an u/s at 5w1d and you could barly see the sac. But at 5w5d you could and then at 6w1d we had a h/b. Hang in there. Keep us posted

Thanks so much for responding Katie and Leslie!!!

It just seemed like everybody I was reading about had such higher beta numbers and that so many saw the sac clearly at 5w so I'm scared. It makes me feel better that you said you barely saw your sac at 5w1d also Katie. My Dr said my beta is rising at about 60% which is fine. He said everybody is different and not all double every other day. I'm praying he is right! He said I'll probably just see the sac w/my 11/22 u/s and then the h/b with the next one. Do you think it's abnormal if I don't see a h/b until around 7w?

Hi ladies,

Bad news for me. I had a small amount of bright red blood on Monday morning so went in for an u/s and blood draw. U/S showed sac was too small and blood showed HCG dropped from 1027 to 700. I will miscarry....again. Dr said he thought it was probably "bad luck" and the embryo was chromosonally not correct. I have difficulty believing that as we used donor eggs from a 24 yr old and all other issues have been addressed..... on heparin, folgard and baby asp for MTHFR, no other immune issues detected, septated uterus repaired. The only thing they haven't tested me for is NK cells. I have wondered about this since my second chemical pg. I just feel like I fit the bill...multiple failed IUI/IVF, 2 miscarriages at about 6w, 2 chem pg. Dr said he doesn't feel the science has proved the NK theory but that he doesn't disbelieve it either. He is open to discussion. What do you guys think? Know anything about it?

Thanks!
