Low betas for me as well
Hi,
I had a 12 DPO beta number of 9.6. I'm going today for another one (15 DPO). But, my temperatures keep dropping and my home HPT is not getting darker. I'm thinking it isn't looking very good. I'm definitely sad, but also happy to know that I am able to conceive. We are trying for our first baby and I'm almost 36. Do you think there is hope, or do you think it isn't looking good?

I'm afraid your number is rather low but I do know that the absolute number can vary so much but if your levels double between 2-3 days it is looking good. Wishing you lots of luck for your next beta, so hope you get good news.

Definitely not giving up for the future....But, I'm pretty sure this is over. I'm cramping and spotting...Given all the other signs, it isn't looking good. I will get my beta back (b/c, of course, the spotting started after I went to the lab), but I'm not expecting anything good. Not being negative, just realistic.

hEy my betas are really crappy and aren't doubling, you may have gotten your first beta right after implantation (some little beans wait to implant as late as 12 days) and have a huge jump or even if it continues to double, don't fret too much yet. Hang in there and let us know how things are going!

Just to add, many have cramping, it is to do with progesterone (did you have a prog. level drawn?) also, spotting can be because of the embryo furthering itself into the endometrium. It also could be such things as clin. preg, but just to let you know some of these things DO happen. My thoughts are with you! hugs and don't give up!
(you can look at my beta's on a couple previous posts, still not looking good with more to come!) |

Thanks everyone...I just got my number back, as well as my progesterone level. Looks like it was a chemical (I guess you would call it that). Although my beta went to 18 (72 hours later) my progesterone went down to 1.2. It was 27.7 at mid luteal phase, which was a good number then. And, I'm more than spotting now. I appreciate all your kind words and your help.
