Help! Need info about heart problems during pregnancy!

My best friend has just been diagnosed with cardio myopathy. She is thirteen weeks pregnant and has been told that had they known about this before, they would have advised against having children! She has already had one miscarriage and struggled to conceive this baby. The doctors said there is a very high risk of congestive heart failure with this disease and they are very concerned. Does anyone know how this is treated during pregnancy? They are talking about taking the baby very early, around 28 weeks, to avoid the increase in blood pressure that generally occurs during the last trimester. She is terrified and I don't know what to say to her!
Thanks for any advice,
Whitney

I have a friend that has had congestive heart failure and battled Hodgkins disease last year and is now pg with her second child. I'm not sure of the particulars but I know she is taking a daily shot of heparin I believe. They also will not allow her to go through regular labor or have a c-section due to the strain it would put on her heart. She will be doing something called labor down where she goes into labor, no pushing, until the baby just comes out.
