Waiting

Hi Everyone

I am having a poor me day. The first day of my next menstrual cycle is October 3rd but I had my IUI on the 17th of September. Today I started feeling PMS crampy and miserable. I just have this awful feeling it didn't work. I had four good eggs, hubby was over one hundred million - everything was great.

Anyone have any good news??

Nettie

Nettie,

Don't give up hope on this cycle just yet. After 2 years of ttc #1 i had my third injectables cycle with follistim. I told them to be agressive because I hadn't responded well the other 2 times. This time i had 4 mature follies and my husbands washed count for iui was 126 mil. I was sureee my period was coming because i had what I felt were pms signs (mostly in stomach). I didn't even do any home tests I was so convinced it didn't work. Well 13 dpiui they had me go in for beta and it was 258!!! High for 13dpo. So Monday I have my first ultrasound and I pray I see a heartbeat at 6w2d. Hope this encourages you.

Kimberly

That is awesome. Please let me know how it goes today. Like you I am convinced it didn't work. I was giving myself 50 units of Puregon for 8 days. I feel like if it doesn't work why bother having all this done if my husband and I are both fine. This didn't help. I need to think positive. Thanks for replying - I do feel better. Did you have any signs whatsoever that you were pregnant? One of my biggest problems is that I am on the internet too much and looking for signs. Sorry if I am babbling - this is soooo stressful.

With all three of my pregnancies - two natural and one IVF, I had PMS symptoms. I thought for sure I was about to start. With my second pregnancy I was even convinced I had a M/C because after my + HPT I had really bad PMS symptoms - bad cramps, etc. and I thought I wasn't pregnant anymore. Not the case - just how my body reacts. I didn't have any "normal" pregnancy symptoms until well after I knew I was pregnant. The 2WW is the worst, I am so sorry. Crossing my fingers and toes for you!

You keep giving me hope - thanks. Its nice to know there is someone else to talk to. There are two other couples I know doing IUI (must be the water in our area). They are going to different clinics and they were not given any meds but I was. I find that strange because both husbands had slow swimmers. My husband's are well above normal. I guess they are all different.
