Help for my friend, any advice/opinions?

Ok here's the scoop, my friend did an IUI. She went in for her first beta after 2 weeks of waiting, her first beta was 10, then she went in a week later, it was 29, one week later, 47, one week later 87. She is now 6w2d pg, but not sure what is happening with her beta numbers. I dont know why the dr''s are waiting one week in between beta's but that's what they've been doing. She is going to go in for an u/s in a week, but until then what do you guys make of these beta numbers? She's also been bleeding and spotting on and off right from day one, and still is. Is it inevitable that she is going to lose this pg, or could this turn around for her? Any advice would be appreciated, as she is a wreck and I don't know what to tell her.

I am sorry to hear that your friend is going through this. these numbers seem very low to me. here is a chart with the "normal" ranges
Days from concetption /lmp/ miu/ml or iu/l
7 days 3 weeks 0 to 5
14 days 28 days 3 to 426
21 days 35 days 18 to 7,340
28 days 42 days 1080 to 56,500
35 - 42 days 49 - 56 days 7,650 to 229,000
43 - 64 days 57 - 78 days 25,700 to 288,000
57 - 78 days 79 - 100 days 13,300 to 253,000
17 - 24 weeks 2nd trimester 4060 to 65,400
25 wks to term 3rd trimester 3640 to 117,000
After several days postpartum nonpregnant levels (<5)"

i bled into my second trimester. although the numbers are low i would still wait till the ultra sound. Lets pray it turns out well

please let us know what happened
