Beta Question #dp#dt vs #dpo?
I just have a quick question because Im having a hard time comparing my betas to others. I did an IUI rather than IVF so I'm not as informed on how to compare dpo times with retrievals etc... For example: how would 17dp3dt compare to dpo? Would it be 14dpo or 20 dpo? Sorry just very confused and it is a common annotation to use and try to compare to.
Thank You

That would be equivalent to 20DPO, Its 17+3 will equal your DPO. The first beta number is really a confirmation of pregnancy. What you want to see is a doubling within a 48 TO 72 hour period is normal ranges. So what happens at the 2nd, 3rd beta will show you more how viable the pg will be. Congrats on pg!

dp=days past
dt=day transfer So 10dp3dt is 10 days past 3 day transfer My question, is how does dpIUI correspond? I understand that in IVF, you do "days past transfer". And in natural, it is "days past ovulation", which in IVF would be the day of egg harvest. But how does IUI stack up? I am thinking of doing some extensive beta research and need to know. So 17dpo and 19dp2dt are the same - what would dpIUI be? Hope that makes sense. Crystal

Yes Katielaz, you are right. To get dpo you add the days past retreival('x'dt) to the days past transfer('x'dp) to get the days post ovulation.
As far as dpIUI, I'm not totally sure about that one. I've always used the equilvilent dpo because when they do IUI they do it the day or day after ovulation, at least that is how I've understood it was done. HTH, Amy

The day of IUI would be the equilvalent of the day of egg retrieval in IVF or ovulation day in a "normal" cycle.
So 14dpIUI, 14dpo, 11dp3dt, and 9dp5dt are all the same.
