All my numbers look ok and the first US showed everything and fetal pole, no HB yet, too early, 5w4d. I have been spotting from the beginning and still am and it's FREAKING ME OUT!
ANYONE have thoughts?

I have been spotting (sometimes full on BLEEDING) and cramping on and off during my whole pregnancy and after 3 ultrasounds they still say the baby looks great. My dr said it is common in the beginning of a lot of pregnancies.

melmommy,
I have had bleeding with this pg. It started at 5w5d and was very bright red bleeding. I was sure I was m/c, but it turned out that I have a blood clot in the uterus. The baby is measuring perfectly and I actually had an u/s today and the baby was measuring 8w5d and I am 8w4d and the h/r was 179. The clot was 1x3x5 on Wed and today was 1x1x5. So it is geting smaller and the dr. said 95% of the time they just get absorbed by our body and the baby is fine. I did have 3 or 4 bleeding episodes that were just like an AF. I haven't bled in over a week so I guess thing are looking up. I have been on bedrest all week though. So bleeding can be very normal. And actually at my 5w5d u/s they didnt even see the clot yet. It was at my 6w1d u/s that is was discovered. So maybe (not that you want a blood clot) but they will see the cause of your bleeding. Hope this helps!! Katie |

Hi melmommy.
I am 7 weeks 5 days pregnant. I have had spotting since two weeks ago. I had a gush of blood last Tuesday and Wednesday. I was freaking out. The ultrasound showed on Thursday that I have two blood clots. My doctor told me it may go away in a few weeks. I have not had spotting since then . I will see how my next ultrasound shows next week. The baby is doing fine with very strong heartbeat. Don't worry. Hang in there. |

I have spotted and full on blrd through the pregnancy. I have just had my longest break from the bleeding.. 2-1/2 weeks. I am 21 weeks pregnant. I have spotted bright red since the beginning 1-3 times per week sometimes for more then a day at a time. A couple times with clotting and to the point where they actually were checkking my blood levels to make sure i was not anemic nor that i had not lost too much blood.
All the while the baby was and is doing GREAT and i am on rest. The most important thing is to make sure that your cervix is closed and that you are not bleeding out. That would be soaking more then 1 pad per hour. The suspected reason for my bleeding.. possible tear in the placenta or the placenta was tearing away from the uterus. Things are much better but I understand how scary it is. Try to calm down make sure you are taking in enough iron look out for clots and if you are totally freasking out go into the hospital better safe then sorry. Let us know how you are doing ~Lisa edd 02-05 |
