Very, very low betas
I am (allegedly) in my eighth week of pregnancy. Up until last week, my HcG numbers were doubling every 72 hours, although they were low. I had another test on Tuesday, and they only went up from 1800-ish to 2200-ish in six days. I know 2200 is very, very, very low for where I'm supposed to be, and the non-doubling is very bad.
I'm doomed for sure, right? Any happy vibes you can send my way would be nice. I kind of wish the bleeding would start already so I can get this over with and my husband and I can try again.

No, actually the numbers quit doubling and slow down after a while. 2200 seems low to me, but I am not sure how low. There is a chart somewhere that shows the range of normal betas - maybe someone has the link to it?

Yes, unfortunately I've seen those charts and I'm quite out of range for as far along as I'm supposed to be. I think, really, that I'm just trying to find the straws to grasp at this point, because it's so disappointing.

I'm sorry you have to go through this-I've been through it and don't wish it upon anyone. Any chance your dates are wrong?? Let us know how it goes-will be praying for the best!

The dates can't be off by much, I don't think. I took my first + test on August 28th, which would make conception around the 18th of August. My last HcG draw was on the 19th, which would put me at over 4 weeks since conception and my minimum level really should be above 5,000.
I think I'm going to call the doctor today and see if I can get in earlier than next Thursday for my u/s so I can just get some answers. |

My feelings of dread were well justified, unfortunately. I started bleeding a couple of hours ago. No pain, which is good. I did most of my grieving already so I'm not feeling too horrible. I wish you all the best of luck.
