OK i am even more confused now then ever. I know this is probabally not the right place to ask but i don't know where else to turn and you all seem so knowledgeable. I had my ultrasound and at first they told me twins, but a few mins later they said it was possible that there is only one and a large subchorionic bleed. They only saw 1 hb but also said that the "second one" was very difficult to see. My DR is away for the next two weeks and i am freaking out. Does anybody have any ideas or has a similar experience?
Thanks

I've never really heard of this before, but if you are very worried or concerned, please call your doctor/nurses. They should be there for you!

I've read about this on the infertility boards - here's a link to the lady going through this:
http://www3.fertilethoughts.com/foru...&postcount=481 You could just do a search on subchorionic on the FET IF board. Best wishes! Nancy |

There is some info on the general preg board under separation between yolk sac and lining. I can't get the link to paste.
It was helpful to me to read what others have written about SCH. Hope this helps with info, but nothing can help the agonizing wait for the doctor to return!!!!

Subchorionic hemorrhage.
My friend had a subchorionic hemorrhage during her first trimester and had some spotting on and off for several weeks. It was a very scarey time for her. But the hemorrhage has completely resolved and is no longer seen on ultrasound. She is now 16 weeks and doing fine.
You can carry a baby after one of these bleeds. No one can tell you for sure what will happen because it is a watch and wait sort of thing. But I thought you would like to know that you can go on to carry a healthy pregnancy like my friend. Best wishes. |
