worried about beta
I posted this on the "pregnant after infertility" board but then I saw this one and this is probably where I should of posted.
So I had my second beta this AM it's 106. My first test was 68 and it was early, 10dp3dt, and today would of been my first beta had I not went in early. I'm 12dp3dt today. I'm thrilled it went up and the doc said as long as it's increasing by 60%, which it did but I still feel like I've seen such higher number on the IF boards. What do you all think? Did anyone have numbers around 106 when they were 12dp3dt?? I want so much to be happy and excited but I just can't stop worrying!! My Re doesn't want me to re test for a week, doesn't that seem long?

My RE says that the doubling of the beta is more important than the initial value as that is dependant on the time of implantation. Some embryos implant later hence the lower initial beta #. As long as it continues to double every 48-72 hours the pg should be viable. The lowest # their office has seen go on to be viable was 12 at 11dp3dt. I think your numbers look great!!

Well when I do the calculation it's really every 74 hours. So is that pretty bad then? Anyone have it speed up after the first test?

Did you actually do your tests at the same time, 3 days apart? I had one similar to yours and it looked like it didn't quite double. It was because I had tested about 3 hours earlier the second time. I also remember reading at one point that the hcg levels don't rise at a steady rate over the 48-72 hours, but they start rising much faster towards the end of the 48-72 hour mark (whenever it is that they are going to double). So even if you were just a little early, it might make a pretty big difference at this point with the numbers being in the tens and hundreds vs the thousands. Keep us posted and best of luck to you!

I did go the first apt at 10:30am and today I went at 8:00am, so if that makes any difference it was a couple hours off.

Amg~~ Just relax and take it easy, that is the best thing you can do right now. I wouldn't worry so much about the number's not doubling, as for you said you went in a few hours early. I think your numbers are great. Mine didn't start off all that hot..... Just relax, your not leaving me on the BFP list alone for the "Spring Chicks"!!!!
