confusing day

went to dr after he gave me the news that my betas made him believe i was having a misc. the #s are:
18 dpo=224
20 dpo=440
22 dpo = 912
24 dpo =1820
26 dpo=1900 ***dr said it was misc. told me to come back for follow up beta
27 dpo =2600 the dr. said it was still misc., scheduled sono for today.
today, he didnt even take blood, saw sac, even tho he said its too soon to see much else, he said its def misc. does ayone else find this strange that he didnt even bother taking another beta? im still not bleeding, nor cramping, and he said go home & wait for it to happen.

have you had any more betas did you go for an u/s keep me posted 2700 is a high beta not to be p/g Good luck my prayers are with you.

An u/s is better at determining viablity than beta tests. I'd hold off for another u/s in a week or so. If it is a viable pg, I'd drop that doc in a heartbeat. He/she seems insensitive. Good luck.

betas get more unreliable as they get higher. The u/s is what will tell the story. That is likely why he did not bother to draw another beta. Once your betas get past about 2000, you should be able to see a gestational sac and yolk sac (around 5w or so). Once you get to 7 weeks, you should be able to detect a fetal pole and hb. Good luck.

When I was going through my first m/c my RE took b/w twice a week and I had an u/s once a week until we knew with 1,000% certainty that things wouldn't progress.

Don't give up yet. Your betas aren't all that indicitive of a M/C. Keep your thoughts positive for this pregnancy, and insist on another U/S this Friday.

I hope your pregnancy is viable.
