I am 19dp4dt. Went in for first u/s today at 5w2d. Saw a gestational sac, but no yolk sac. My beta came back at 1120. First beta at 9dp4dt was 77 and beta 2 days later was 203. My doubling time is around 77 hours. Not a good sign. Anyone have any experience with this? My RE is not being all that negative about it, but it's not the most positive sign either. Not sure what to think at this point. I will go back at 6w and have another u/s to see what's going on. Has anyone had betas rise slowly after first two and still have a good outcome?
Thanks

My early betas always have been closer to the 72 hour doubling time than the 48 hour one. Even with triplets, I never doubled in 48 hours. I have had 4 pregnancies that all started the same way where my betas are concerned and three of them ended with healthy babies. Hang in there... my RE always told me that the betas are just guidelines, not the be all end all. Good luck!

Hey Donna,
Yeah, at 5w4d, I only had a gestational sac...and I was actually 6w something at the time. I went back 2 wks later and had a nice strong hb. Now, I'm 19wks. Try not to worry. I believe its different with everyone by a few days. |
