First Beta in low?

Hey everyone I guess after the last one I am just scared but here goes.
We had our first beta today 12dpo was only 22 is this bad?
I guess I should start with 4 iui's all bfn: first ivf bfn: first fet bfp beta only 8.0 second beta 4.9 third beta 0.
This was iui # 5 we didnt want to sit around and do nothing while we saved up to do ivf again and here we are with bfp but only 22 beta???
I wont go back for 2nd beta until next monday and I am so scared. The last one was only last month I mc so soon the RE said I was ok to try again right away but now I am scared I should have waited maybe I would have a stronger first beta?
If I try a HPT this Sat and the numbers are doubled it should show up right?
I ask because I did one two days ago and it was bfp so if it is going up it should be at like 44 by Sat?
Any help to help calm this scare would be great.

12dpo is early for a beta - my RE won't even typically do them until 14dp. Don't worry yet -- it's not the initial number that's so important as the doubling rate. With my first pg I got a beta of 16 on 15dpiui -- and that went on to be an uneventful, healthy pg -- my dd is now 2 1/2 years old!! Hang in there --

Thank you Jennl. I am just worried after the last one but that one was a first beta of only 8.1 so I guess I should just relax and see what Monday brings. Dh and I have been trying for 17yrs this just seems like a dream right now. I dont dare let myself get excited as the last one still comes to mind but this time we did it by IUI not IVF so could be just early.
I'm just a nut case
Thanks again for your reply Off to try to do some work ( like I can do that today)
