Yesterday they saw 2 sacs!

OMG. Behind my little tiny baby, dr thinks there's a 2nd sac, but she didn't see anything in it. Her u/s equipment wasn't a high quality so she's sending me Tues for an in depth u/s so a radiologist can better determine what's going on. This would be a blessing after all I've been through!!! I can't wait til u/s. Even if second baby didn't make it I'm still happy to have one and hopefully this one is ok. Can one survive if the other didn't? We don't have twins in either of our families and no fertility treatments either. I'm confused, excited and scared. WOW

Congratulations with pg!!!

That would be great to have two beans there. I thougth the exact thing when we saw two h/b's at our first u/s. in case i miscarry one i will have the other one..... and unfortunately i did miscarry one at about 10w. But Thanks God the baby A is doing fine now and i am 18w3d. I don't want this to happen to anyone, contrarry hope next u/s you will be seeing strong h/b's and you will have full term successful pg.

People can get pg with or without tx. Our was from IVF/ICSI.

Congrats again!!!!!!!!!

We saw 2 sacs

Yesturday I had my first ultrasound and the doctor saw two sacs and there are two beating hearts. She is worred that one might not make it. The heart is not beating as strong and she thought the sac looked a little abnormal. Might be some bleeding behind it. She did say the heart could still pick up but I doubt it. Baby A has a strong heartbeat and the sac looks terrific. She thought it might become a vanishing twin. Anyone else have similar things going on????

It would be great to have twins but if I can have 1 healthy baby after all this IVF stuff I would be thrilled.

Vanishing Twin Syndrome is pretty common. There is a high chance each of us started out as a twin and our brother/sister vanished due to this type of scenario. I researched it on the internet and was pretty amazed.

The surviving babies usually do just fine, especailly in cases of early pregnancy, and the other sac etc. is absorbed back into the system.

When we were told therer were 3 sac's w/heartbeats in November, they warned us to not be surprised if one of more "vanished". Much to our relief, our little girls all stayed strong and I am currently 23w 1d.

Congrats and best wishes to you!!!!!

Only one in there!

Only one baby, but saw and heard a strong h/b !! They said my dr must've seen an ovarian cyst that I have instead of another baby. On cloud 9 today!!
