Dr says beta is too low
After having a stillborn 12-23-05, due to cord accident, which followed 5 m/c's, I'm pg. My first beta was 174 and I don't know exactly when I ov, because I never had af after stillborn. I'm pretty sure the 1st beta was around cd15-18. Dr expects m/c. Had another done yesterday, going insane waiting for results! They found out with my last pg that I have blood clotting disorder, I have meds to take for it and they worked for my last pg, I got to 22wks then the umbilical cord was twisted and cut off supply. I've been on the meds since dh and I had our conception time bc I just had a feeling.I also have low progesterone which I have suppositories for and have been using. Dr actually said that they are repeating beta until it's under 2 then I can ttc again. Do they really know I lost it from one beta? I'm now crampy a little, is it stress or am I losing it? No blood.

There is no way you can tell from one beta and if you are 15-17po... that number is perfect. The doubling of the beta in two days is more indicative than anything . Hope your number goes up with the second blood dray. Praying for you.

I'm so sorry for your loss.
Your doctor is a quack if he's telling you to expect a m/c based on the results of 1 early beta, especially if you don't know how far along you are. Shame on him for scaring you like that! Could he be thinking the HCG is still left over from your previous pg? |

Lab spilled my blood!
OMG. The lab that drew my 2nd hcg yesterday called to have me come in to redraw my blood. There was an accident at the lab they said and my blood was spilled. What kind of clowns are these people. I'm going nuts waiting for results and they are breaking test tubes!!!!!!!!!
