question on beta and progesterone(low)

I just found out I am pg. I am 13dpiui beta is 59 and prog. is 6!!!!
I had a chemical pregnancy before, so I am so worried this will happen again. Anyone know what to expect? I am supposed to return for 2nd level hcg on Wednesday. Any success stories out there?

14po my first beta was a 50 and progestrone was a 13.1 then my second beta was 263 with prog level of 9.1. Just as long as the first number doubles you should be okay. I would ask your dr about maybe getting on some prog suppositories though.

Thanks so much, Kelly, for your reply. It reassures me. I just have to wait till Wednesday to see if my beta doubles. I was on the prog. suppositories and now have to take 1cc of prog. in oil shots(ouch! for my tushy!)
Congrats on seeing the heartbeat! Your story is very inspirational. I will keep you posted. When is your next u/s?

That's why I tell it. You hear so many stories of women's betas that are sooo high..and then you land up in the 50's. Kinda scares the crap out of you. I thought it was over before it even began. It's really nice to know that good things can come from low numbers. The way my dr described it was that we just caught the baby implanting and that's why the numbers were so low.

We just saw the baby on Friday...jumping around and playing inside. It brought tears to dh and my eyes. We go in again on Thursday. My dr takes good care of me.

Good luck with beta on Wednesday. The best thing to do....is understand that it's not in your control. I know many women say to relax, but that is soooo hard. Understanding is a little easier.

OMG!!! I am so excited. My beta is now 99 and progesterone is 25. I believe in Miracles! Hope my beta doubles by Friday, that's the next time I go and have my levels checked. Thank you so much for asking! So, your first beta was 50 and then how many days passed till you got your 2nd beta?
Good luck tomorrow at the RE's office. Let me know how it goes!
By the way, I love your little smiley faces(representing you and your hubby making out!) It cracks me up!
So, you're irish. St. Patty's day is just around the corner. Are you going to eat some corn beef and cabbage?

You are well on your way. What a jump on the progestrone level too. I bet you feel like a weight is off of you now.

my first was 50 at 14dpo and then on 18dpo 263. So it was a few days later, but was doubling every 41 hours.

My RE's appointment was canceled I go in next Thursday. I am a little heart broken about it, but to ease myself...I bought a fetal doppler today.

Have you told your dh? Is he excitied?

That is so funny about the fetal doppler. I bought one of those with my first pregnancy. I have a beautiful little girl who is 4. She is the love of my life! I did IVF with her(first time) and it worked! My first miracle baby! My first beta with her was 225!!!! So, you could understand my worry when I got a 59 with this pregnancy!
Of course, I told dh! He is going through this with me, giving me shots every night. Thank goodness.
Sorry to hear about your appt. being moved. Shame on them! Just to relax your thought, the RE's say that after they see the heartbeat, you are in the clear! Do you feel nauseated??? What week are you? Are you showing yet?

Beta numbers are soooo screwy. Who would have thought that a life could depend on a number like that. For days it feels like you stop breathing until you hear that it doubles.

The doppler will become my saving grace around here. I know that once I hear the hb everyday...my heartburn will go down.

I am 11w6d. Not showing yet, but I have a lot of fluff to cover it if I was. I got sick last night. First time!!! I feel a little nauseated everyday, but no getting sick. So last night through me through a loop. I guess the baby didn't like something I ate. LOL.

I can't wait to hear your number tomorrow. Do they normally get back to you soon? It always tears me up to think that I have a life growing inside me...finally.
