Ectopic at 5 weeks when will it go to ZERO

I had my lap surg. for ectopic pg 2.5 weeks ago. My last betta was only at 2249. When should I expect it to go to 0. I have not had any monitoring so far. I have just been monitoring it with hpt to see if it ever goes to neg. and it hasn't. They took the pg right out shouldn't it be 0, the # wasn't that high to begin with, sorry I am just impatient.
Thanks,
Katie

after my tubal in May, my beta didnt go down for about 5-6 weeks after the surgery...i also had to have the methotrexate bec in the effort to save my tube, they didnt get everything, so from there (a week after surgery), my betas dropped fast at first, then when they got to about 400, they took weeks to get to zero (all told. from beginning to end about 6w)...which was good in a way, because it forced me to let my body heal, let my mind heal, and then contemplate ttc again

No. The number should not be zero immediately if they took the pregnancy out. I had an ectopic in July (from a June IUI) and it took a month (at least) to go down. I never even got over 1000. It is an individual thing though...but I wouldn't expect it to go down any faster than in a month's time. You can't get preggo until that number is down...so take this time to relax.
