beta of 160 13 DPO - twins?

Hi everyone,
I've scanned the forums for hours but can't seem to find my answer! (actually, I found many answers... so I'm confused )
I just found out i'm pregnant (yay!) Today I had my first beta - 160 13DPO.
does this definitely mean I have more than one?, some people seem to say yes, others say "not necessarily".
At trigger I had a 17 and a 16 (that's it!)any thoughts? Many thanks

Hi! I think that sounds like a good strong number, but I seem to have #s that defy the odds At 12dpo, my beta was 234. At 14dpo, my beta was 702. An ultrasound at 7 weeks showed just one little bean!

Mine is a natural pregnancy, so I didn't really have reason to expect twins (or more!). But after reading everyone's betas, I really thought it was a possibility!

Good luck!

Clementine -
Congrats on your pg!! However betas' do not reveal if there is more then one baby or not. Unfortunately!! My beta at 19DPO was 3373 and I am pg with a healthy one bean! U/s and hb's are teh only thing that can tell u that.
So for 13DPO sounds like a good solid starting number. What you want to look for now is doublin within a 48-72hhour period, this will indicate viability and strength of baby. So Congrats!! Hope you have a healthy 9 months.
