should I stop the meds or not? HELP!

Ok, my latest beta came back with only an 80 point rise form 281-361. I am currently about 4.5 weeks pregnant from day of ovulation(Gonal stim cycle no IUI). My betas have been consistently under the "doubling" mark since 8 days post ovulation. Doc says it looks like a chemical pregnancy and to come in one more time for a beta check. I can either stop the femtrace and progesterone now or wait til after wed.'s results. I am torn. My levels are low even for this stage of pregnancy and I feel the doc is right. Can't do an u/s as there'd be nothing to see at this stage.
Should I just stop the meds tonite? Anyone else have a similar situation?

Vic
ps- I don't understand all the abbreviations being used on this forum

I'm sorry to hear that your betas aren't rising appropriately. I would continue to take the meds until the next beta just to be on the safe side. Although your levels may be low why take the chance. Perhaps you had a late implanter or maybe one could have been re-absorbed.

Again-I'm sorry!

I would hold off till wednesday, you never know if there is a lab error. I know it is hard waiting, most people want to just move on..... but i have heard of many a lab error happening. good luck.

Thx everyone! I will continue the meds til wednesday. What have I got to lose, right?
And thx for the info on the acronyms tab!
Should I plan on stocking up on Advil for the impending cramps? Or is it that bad at 4 weeks?

Vic - I would continue taking the meds. Miracles happen. The same exact thing happened to one of my dear friends. Her son is now 17 mos old!!
