spotting a little

i've read it's normal to spot brown. i'm a little over 5 weeks, and i have an ultrasound next tuesday, but i've been brown spotting for a few days (ever since i had a pap smear)--is this normal? it's only when i wipe, not flwoing out like AF (sorry, TMI) i'm waiting for a call back from my dr. but wanted to ask you girls b/c you know a lot i'm not having any cramping...

Hi! I've had spotting twice during this pg and I panicked both times at 6w and again at 8w. Luckily...there was nothing wrong.

yes...brown spotting is ok and normal. It can be caused by a lot of things. My RE said that if it gets heavy (like a normal flow) or is red then that could be a bad sign.

You are right to be asking your doctor. Always best to check.

thanks melanie...i've read so many articles when it says it's pretty normal, but then it happens and it's still freaks you out still waiting to hear from my doctor though...and i have 6 more days utnil my first ultrasound...

good luck with everything have a healthy 9 (or less) months...

hi

i had spotting the day of my beta (brown) and now at 6 weeks had some (tan) again the other day very light and I guess it is normal but I know what you mean I hate seeing it too.

My u/s is friday and praying it is all that I hope it to be and healthy little baby!!!!!

hello

i am just in my 6th week and went to the bathroom yesterday to find brown spotting. i freaked out and felt like vomitting . went straight in for a blood test only to find that my beta number had risen more than they were expecting and they seem to think all is fine.

its nerve racking but hang in there... i'm sure it will all be fine if its just spotting. i've heard its pretty normal.
