betas in, but now some cramping

Hi Everyone...I just received my third beta results today:

beta#1 28
beta#2 70
beta#3 228

so they seem to be more than doubling every 48 hours or less, but i just had some brownish discharge (TMI, sorry) and some slight cramping. is this anything to be worried about? i've read both are somewhat normal in early pregnancy, but i don't know if they're normal together...i'm scheduled for a pelvic ultrasound next Tuesday...i was so nervous for my numbers, and now i got those back and they're good...now i have something else to be nervous about--it's like i can't enjoy one second of this pregnancy DH is very happy though, so he's making me feel somewhat better...sorry to vent...

Well spotty and a dull achy cramp is common - and its good that it is brown that usually is old blood. Without knowing how you got pg, IUI, Natural, IVF because that can matter?
Did they test your progestrone levels, that can cause some spotting sometimes. But spotting doesnt always mean doom and gloom, so call your doc and let them know and see how they direct you. You dont want hard cramping and bleeding. Congrats!

It is normal

Don't worry. I had the same symptoms as soon I found out I was pregnant. At one ponit my cramps became so strong that I got desperate...afraid of having another miscarriage. Doctor told me to drink at least 8 cups of water every day and, coincidence or not, cramps stopped the same day. Now I am 7w 2d and still have beige spotting and cramps that come and go. I felt better only when I saw the baby heartbeat. Good luck to you. By the way, drink lots of cranberry juice (from concetrate) also... it is teally good to prevent urinary infection.

thanks

this was a natural pregnancy. my progesterone has not been checked. i asked my OB today about the spotting etc. and he said it's pretty normal and we should know more about the pregnancy during the pelvic ultrasound next week...i guess i feel better, but shouldn't he want to see me?

thanks

thanks so much solange--that really puts my mind at ease. it's always nice to hear when someone is/was going through the same things.

you must have been so excited to see the heartbeat--that is probably one of the best days of your life. is this your first pregnancy?

i'll be totally and completely happy when i'm holding my baby in my arms--until then i think i'm going to be a mess. so good thing for this website

thanks crystal...i'm trying not to worry

i'm not exactly positive when i ovulated, but i'm assuming:

beta #1 28--15dpo (could be 12 dpo)
beta#2 70--17 dpo (could be 14)
beta#3 228--19 dpo (could be 16)

still low, but more than doubling!
