OHSS and BFP
For those women who had OHSS, did you OHSS get better or worse in the 2ww before your beta? I'm trying to figure out if I might be pregnany based on the status of my OHSS.
Thanks for letting me know. Riser35

riser - you may want to post on the Gen Preg board or 2ww board, you will probably get a better response over there

pg ment
I have OHSS and its finally starting to get better. I am 5w5days. Mine got worse during the second week of the 2ww and peaked around the time of my beta. My RE kept telling me he knew I was going to have a BFP due to the OHSS, he was right. Good luck! Oh my OHSS didnt show up until the 2 ww either.

I felt bloated but nothing too major after retreival and transfer but I knew that was normal because of a previous cycle (BFN). My transfer was on a Friday and by the following Thursday I was really starting to notice more bloating and shortness of breath. Then it just kept getting worse. My beta was on 2/3 and it was really bad then. Just now its starting to get a bit better. So I guess with me it was a gradual thing in the beginning, but really it took a good week for it to bust out and me to really notice it after transfer. So it could get better, or atleast feel like it is and once the embies implant and start pumping out the HCG it will get bad again. I didnt have OHSS prior to my retreival. My beta was 808 so that explains why i was having such a bad time with it at that time. I hope this helps at all. Good luck and dont give up hope.

My symptoms got progressively worse before they got better, leveling off at about 9 weeks. I was very bloated and uncomfortable and also had some sharp pains in my chest and discovered via ultrasound that I had a bit of fluid in my lungs due to the OHSS. This went away on it's own and all symptoms were gone by 13 weeks or so.
I hope you are feeling better and get your BFP

Riser35,
I was diagnosed with OHSS 3 DPO and was definitely better 7DPO. My RE told me that because my OHSS symptoms were going away so quickly, most likely I was not pg. I feel very bloated but definitely not as bad as I did before - and certainly it could be chalked up to a very bad AF around the corner. I just had my beta this morning and will get the results back this afternoon. I'll let you know. |
