Any success stories w/1 embie thru IVF?

Hi ladies and congratulations to all of you. I hope I can join you on this board soon.

I had my ET on 9/10 and they had 3 fertilized eggs (1-8 cell and 2-6 cell). Originally, the RE said they would transfer 2, but the day of my ET the Embryologist & RE advised we only transfer the 8 cell embryo.

I'm in the 2ww and I was hoping to hear some success stories with 1 embryo.

I have stage II endo (on ovaries) and somewhat high FSH. My protocol was gonal-f and repronex, cetrotide, pio.

I will keep my fingers crossed for you that your one embryo implants, I an not sure if the quantity transferred guarantees better results. The 2WW is hard and my heart goes out to you, just hang in there and try not to stress. When would your first beta test be?

Hi! Thanks for responding. My beta is scheduled for 9/24. I'm excited, but trying to be realistic too. It's a tough balance. Hopefully, this little bean will be strong enough to stay the 9 months!

I have a friend who only had 1 embryo make it to her 3 day transfer and she just delivered her healthy baby boy!

Did your RE tell you why they were only transferring one embryo? Did the other two make it to freeze?

hi there, I just wanted to let you know that I only transferred one and just got a BFP today. (well, I have been hpt'ing but today I found out officially)..so, it can happen! best of luck!
