Question Beta question?

Ok I have a question regarding beta preg. test. How early can a beta test detect a preg.? I am currently on cd 25 and o'ed on day 13 or 14 and I am thinking of testing of friday so I have an idea of what to expect. I guess my question is will it detect if I am preg?
Thank you for help in advance. Sorry if this is dumb ? not sure who else to ask.
Christy

Hi Christy!

Not a dumb question at all! They generally don't like to run them until it's about 14 dpo, but they certainly pick it up earlier. As soon as hCG starts appearing in your blood, they'll pick it up, even if it's low because it's so early.

Talking here, though, about blood tests, not home pregnancy tests. If you're talking about an HPT, you need to use a really sensitive one and understand that you MAY get a negative (even if it's not) because it's a bit early and you aren't even "late" yet.

Good luck! And do let us know, eh?!

Samantha

Every one is different, but I tested positive using First Response brand on day 10 after ovulation with all 4 of my pregnancies. Good Luck!

Clear Blue Easy is also very sensitive. It has never been wrong for me even 13dpo. Good luck!
