Your numbers are going up which is a very good sign. Also, the average doubling time is 48-72 hours and you are well within that range. By the 21st your numbers should be high enough to at least see a sac and fetal pole. Sometimes the heartbeat isn't detected until the 7th week so don't worry if you don't see it. Good luck!

one more question

oh thank you Genvieve, You'r always here for us , and you are always full of hope.
so what i understood from you , that there is no specific time for the heart beat , oh My God i don't know what to think , these numbers are confusing me ,some woman within my time are in 4000-5000 beta range , this is why i felt behind ,
so this doesn't matter ???? and i won't be behind , like i hear some woman measure behind ???
excuse my olenty of questions but i'm really confused

You should be just fine. My doctor told me that some women have faster/slower doubling times than average but still have healthy pregnancies. I started out out with really high numbers that leveled off by my 3rd beta. I was sure I was going to have a miscarriage because my doubling time slowed to 67 hours (my beta was over 5000 at this point) but everything was fine. As for the heartbeat, yes some women see it as early as the 6th week but for some it isn't detected until later. I had an u/s at 5 weeks and only saw a sac and had a follow-up at 8 weeks and saw the heartbeat. One more thing, don't worry if your numbers are lower than some women, the range for HCG is huge and as long as your doctor isn't worried you shouldn't be (I know, easier said than done). Please keep us posted and good luck!!!

Hi Sillia.....keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. My heart really goes out to you because I am on the beta roller coaster too wishing I didn't even know what a beta number is! I wish I were like my girlfriends who don't have fertiltiy issues. They just did hpt's and had their pregnancies confirmed by their doctors and their pregnancies were up and running. I wish it was that simple for us! Hugs and prayers to you and I'll be looking for an update from you on the 21st about your ultrasound. My ultrasound is this Monday at 9am and I'm hoping that since I'll be 6wks 3 days that we will be able to see a heartbeat. What a lousy way to spend the first few weeks of what should be the happiest time in our life! Hugs and prayers to everyone!
