These numbers too low?

Hello - just wanted some advice on whether my wife and I should prepare for a miscarriage. Nurse said it could go either way.

1st beta 14 days after IUI: 26

2nd beta 16 days after IUI: 76

I know it more than doubled which is good, but the absolute numbers seem a lot lower than what other people are tossing out. Any opinions would be appreciated. Thanks.

I know that they seem low but please know that I have seen many ladies here over the years start with low numbers and have a healthy pg & baby.

No, not necessarily. The doubling time is good and that's what matters most. There is a lady on another board I belong to who had betas of 12 and 36 and then they jumped up to the 700s and she just saw her baby's heartbeat today. I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers though.

My first beta on 11dp3dt (which I think would be equal to 17 days after an IUI) was only 63. It's less than your 2nd beta and I'm now 9w3d. It's definately the doubling that you want. Congratulations and good luck!
