Betas not doubling

Hi ~ I'm a newbie here! I just wanted to see what you all thought of these beta numbers. I've had 3 losses already in the past 2 years so I'm terrified of losing another! We have been through 13 IUI's and 1 IVF and this pregnancy is the result of an IUI

16 DPIUI 22
18 DPIUI 40
20 DPIUI 56
24 DPIUI 91

My doctor wasn't that concerned but I have to go back Thursday for more tests. What do you think? I'm just on pins and needles.

Hi Karen!

So sorry that you find yourself in beta H#@l! You will find some good company here though. You will also find plenty of stories of women who had low, slow to rise, betas who ended up with a healthy baby, so DO NOT give up hope! I am hopeful for you and for all of us who have found ourselves in this, the "land of the unknown". I have my first u/s on Thursday following the transfer of two frozen blasts. My betas are weird too!

I just wanted to let you know my betas have been playing tricks on me too.

9 DPO 11
12 DPO 72
15 DPO 264
19 DPO 805
22 DPO 1640
26 DPO 2710 (96 hour doubling time!)

We went from seeing a sac to one week later seeing an embryo with a strong heartbeat last Thursday at about 6.2 weeks. Don't give up. The numbers are not an exact science. Go to betabase.info for great information. Also http://ivfer.com/hcg.htm shows that doubling times are up to 72 hours and increase as your HCG levels increase. Don't get me wrong, I'm still on pins and needles, but things are heading in the right direction. I've also had 2 previous losses, I feel your pain!! Keep the faith. Good luck.

Karen -- don't give up.....Your numbers are rising, which is good....

I am in the same boat...

1st beta -- 13DPO -- 15
2nd beta -- will know results today or tomorrow morning

Girls -

I can't tell you how much you helped me get through the past 2 days...you gave me hope! THank you!

This morning I got my 5th beta and it doubled from 91 to 189 in two days! WOO HOO! Maybe this one is a keeper!!!!!
