Concerned about low BETA

This is my 1st time visting this site. I just got my BETA for my 2nd IVF cycle. The 1st was a chemical preg. Today my BETA was 42 with a low prog. I was a 5dt and this is the result after the 10th day. I am concerned that this will end the same way as my 1st one did. Please, is there any hope?

I hope so! because I was/am in a similar situation...

10p5dt (like you) 33
12dp5dt 68
14dp5dt 114
17dp5dt 276

I think my progesterone is fine (I'm doing nightly injections). The doctor told me to focus on the fact that it's going up at an acceptable rate (albeit on the slow side). Tomorrow I have my final beta at 24dpt. If all is well, I'll have an ultrasound soon afterwards.

This is a terrible feeling of limbo. I'm obsessing about the numbers and my symptoms (or lack of). I'm trying to be optimistic (and there do seem to be plenty of successful low beta stories) but realistic (the numbers are so low!!).

Best of luck to you.

HOPE

I am glad to know that I am not alone with this. As you mentioned, this is an extremely stressful time. I guess I will see how things are progressing when I go back to the doctor on Wed.
Good luck to you as well!

Hey there -- no, you are not alone at all.

My beta was a whopping "15" at 13DPO/11dp2dt. I am waiting on my 2nd beta results today or tomorrow morning. My progesterone is very high, but my estrogen levels are low, so I am also on estrogen patches.

Good luck today with your beta!

Hope -- good luck with your last beta!

Sonya

Thanks. Yesterday's beta came back at 1561 - just within the acceptable doubling range. But it still feels so low!

I have an ultrasound scheduled on Friday at 6w4d. It's held on this long, so maybe it will work out.

Today's beta came back at 92 at 12dp5dt. I was completely shocked considering that I really have no symptoms yet. I go back next Monday....I am hoping that it keeps going up.

Sonya...I am sorry about your results. That also happened to me on my 1st IVF cycle. Good luck to you.

Hope...great news on your beta #!

Hope,

That is terrific!

Just fyi, you need a beta of 1200 in order for a sac to even be visible on u/s. So you should be able to see a sac at your u/s.

Good luck to all of you! I am a slow rising beta success story myself (so far!) There is always hope!

13dpiui--117
15dpiui--195
19 dpiui--368
22dpiui--1261 (sac seen on u/s)
25dpiui--3232 (sac/yolk/pole on u/s)
6w1d--h/b detected!

Hope this helps!
