Im wondering what the lowest hcg level can be to be considered a + pg test. I had the blood hcg test today and my results say that my hcg level is only 2. I would only be about 10 days (give or take) past ovulation. I have all my pg symptoms that I had with my other two kids but I have an unusually large belly. Im thin to begin with but my waist has grown 3 inches in about 10 days. I have a dr. appt. tomarrow and I just wonder why I would have an hcg level of 0. Why would it be 2 if Im not or was PG.
Thanks for any help you can give Kristina

Hello
It's considered a chemical pg or some nurses refer to it as a one night stand. I had a simular situation with numbers that went from 280 down to almost 25 in a week. In my case, there was no viable pg, but implantation occured at some point.
My body bounced back to normal (zero level) really quick which was a good thing. It's better to have chem\pg pass by fast so your body could get back on cycle. The RE suggested that it was probably due to chromosonal abnormality (natures way of taking care of things). I was told that on average woman under the age of 35 have about a 30% abnormality rate or higher which increases as we get older. 34 yrs TTC 4 yrs, DH is 39 IUI#1 pg\mc 9w IUI#2, 3, 4, 5 All BFN IUI-IVF#1 IVF#2,3 FET#1,2 Natural Chem. pg\loss IVF#4 BFP 3/6 |
