extremely high beta

1st DIUI was a success with gonal f injections and trigger
15 day post IUI beta was 1,257 !!!!!
I had 4 follicles (1 size 13, 3 at 18-20)
scan on day of IUI (36hours post trigger) showed only 1 had ruptured !!

What is going on??
clinic think may be multiple pregnancy......but only 1 egg ruptured......
could others have gone after 36 hours ?

am now 5 weeks 2 days and have very tender breasts, sore nipples, headache 2 days , passing urine often and starving hungry !! lol....but feel well otherise.

Anyone any suggestions? Have you ever seen such high beta?

Hi! My first ever BFP!
I have NO idea of my ovulation dates, haven't had AF since failed injects cycle mid march.

5/10- beta 156, prog 17 (started vag supp)

5/12-beta 450, prog 20

Am going for a third beta on the 17th and US on the 26th

How do these numbers sound? I calculated the doubling time as 34hrs, is this normal? This is all so new!

Okay, here are my numbers. I think they are a little high. What do you think?

16 dpo 736
20 dpo 2788
23 dpo 7307

I am wondering if there might be two? My OB says that it is highly unlikely. He keeps telling me that twin rates on Clomid are only 1 in 40. From everything I have read and heard, that does not sound right. I have seen lots of women with twins, and several with trips or quads, from Clomid! If anyone has any insight on this, I'd love to hear it. I have to wait until Monday for my u/s and I am dying of curiosity.

Thanks,

Here is a great web site of women who have posted their beta numbers, this site collects beta scores from pregnancies and makes the information available as a public service. It's a great web site for all of you who would like to know if you are carrying twins or a singleton. http://www.betabase.info/index.php

Enjoy! I've posted there and by looking at the stats, I figured I was carrying twins early on due to what was posted. And as it turned out, I am carrying twins!

HCG Test

Hi girls,

I have had 2 x HCG tests now and they have both increased.

Just can't relate mine to any of yours.

I live in Australia, maybe your measurements are different to mine. Can anyone give me any feedback or suggestions on my figures.

5 weeks 4 days - 51145 - (I believe this is 25 days past ovulation)
6 weeks - 76943 - (I believe this is 28 days past ovulation)

Don't know all the abbreviations you guys use?????

Gillian,

Don't worry too much. Lots of women post low numbers and have successful pregnancies. As long as your numbers are going up that is a good sign. You may of had a late implantation too. And by the look of things your numbers are more then doubling which is a great sign. I know it's hard not to worry but hang in there. I've been there too! I had low numbers at first too but it tuned out that I was definitely pregnant. I started out at 10 day transfer (IVF) @ 22 then by the end of the week (Sunday) I was up to 992. I believe the dpo for me was about 19 or 20 dpo at the 10 day transfer. Good luck!
