New here (or back again, for the 2nd time) Just got some beta #'s. Would love to join you girls for some support and encouragement. Natural cycle for us as NONE of our RE treatments have ever worked.

Beta #1 @ 11 DPO 9 horrible, I know.. but progesterone is 28, so a little ray of hope.
Beta #2 @ 13 DPO 38 looking much better! even though still low
Beta #2 scheduled for Monday which will be 17 DPO. I'm praying for a big jump and a real reason to celebrate.

Thankfully, I have one healthly child, a daughter, born 5/07. Our journey to conceive ONE healthly sibling for my beautiful daughter has been very rocky. We have been through countless miscarriages (5, 6? I've lost count) , a molar pregnancy scare and a T-21 baby that made it to 13 weeks. This is probably our last try and we are praying that this one sticks and is healthy. I wish the same for all of you. Thanks for letting me join your group.

Carrie

MelGal: congratulations. Take it super easy!

Carrie: what a road you've travelled. I really really hope this works out for you.

AFM: u/s today showed it's twins.

So, first let me say I'm grateful that we are pregnant and grateful that there are healthy heartbeats.

And now let me say AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

Oh my G-d, what did we do? For anyone who doesn't know why I'm freaking out, just look at the top of my signature. I've conceived and lost twins before due to my cervix opening, and we were trying really really hard not to conceive twins again. That's why we did three IVF's first. I'm feeling super guilty because we could have chosen to continue with IVF, or to try a frozen embryo transfer, but we decided to try to "save" those embryos for child #2 (I'm 39 already...) The dr's told us there was such a low risk given my age and our IVF failures that we would conceive twins.

OK, want to return to gratitude, but just so scared that I've doomed my family and my little beans to have another disaster when either we lose them again, or they come so early that they have very little quality of life. Can't find any faith, just fear....

Thanks for the warm welcome FIRSTIMER and congrats on the twins...how exciting, despite all the pain you've had, this is a real miracle. You will be more prepared this time around to look for any warning signs.
Best of luck to you!

Carrie

Hey, Ladies...
I'm so thrilled that I can finally jump on your thread! Just had my first beta yesterday (13dp5dt) and it was 1,032!

First-Timer.... I am adding you to my prayer list starting right now! I totally understand your fear.... My goodness, I am personally freaked at the thought of possibly having twins myself... My husband wants them badly and I am praying for one healthy baby that I can carry fullterm. However, if it turns out to be twins, I will put on my big girl pants and embrace two precious gifts wholeheartedly. With your painful history, I know that I would be a basketcase if I were in your shoes. That being said, please try to relax and stay calm.... this is a totally different pregnancy so please TRY to have faith that the outcome will be different as well. I'll be keeping you in my thoughts!

Mel... glad to see you on here, too, girlfriend! I hope I'm not jinxing myself!

Congratulations to all of your BFP's ladies!!!

Firsttimer-Aunt is right, this is a different pregnancy all together, I so know you are scared beyond belief. Remember your advice to me and follow it too, it was real and true, I think about it everyday. More than likely they will see you more often and maybe they will do a cerclage too and definitely early bedrest or maybe meds as a precaution.

Melgal-Welcome to the twin club too

Aunt-Congratulations, I hope everything goes well w/ this pregnancy, maybe the OB will take extra precautions w/ you too

Congrats to you too Hammond

carolsue, Melgal, Hammonds3 and Firsttimmer- CONGRTULATIONS!
Firsttimmer, like carolsue said, try to find comfort in the love, support and advice to give to others and give some to yourself. We are all TERRIFIED but we have to find comfort in the fact that we have made it this far...
I don't know what tomorrow holds but I'll be and do the best I can for these sweet little babies!
The support that is found on this board goes along way in making so much fear seem, well less scary and in greater perspective.
I've been absent for last last few days because we had a big scare on thursday. I had horrible stabbing pains very low in my pubic/vag area and then I felt a snapping sensation and a gush. Yes, it was blood. We called my RE immediately and the time between when we saw her and that moment were the worst moments of my life. She found a major blood clot (she said from implantation?) that had burst and one little heart beat/baby A was seen perfectly but baby B is nestled so close to the uterine wall and Baby A that she "thinks" she makes out the baby and heart beat but can't say 100%. David swears he saw the 2nd one and the u/s pix shows something. So upset b/c my RE was triple booked and fitting us in do to the emergency so once she saw baby A she did really bother spendng the time to reassure us and spend more time with baby B...
Strict bed rest and we go back on wednesday at 6:45am. I can't stop thinking about BOTH babies and with bed rest that's all I do is think. I have so many questions.
Has anyone else had an experience like this...???
Much love and support,

PBMonkey.. hang in there.. I would suggest posting outside this thread, since most only read it to compare beta numbers. You can try posting on any of the preg boards that you find fit.

Praying for the best....

PB: gosh honey, I am so sorry you are having such a scare! OK, focus on the good stuff: baby A has a good clear heartbeat, and baby b might just as well. I had two rounds of bleeding with my twin sons, one at 7 weeks and one at 12. Both times the placenta had separated from the wall a little and both times they had me do a week of bedrest and all was cured.

So, relax into that rest, send good vibes to your babes, and please please keep us updated. BTW: there is a June due date board if you want to join, the one started by Andika. Maybe I'll see you there. Really supportive gals!

Praying for you and your beans, darling.
