Firsttimer- Thank you so much for being so open and sharing your experiences and emotions with us. It means more than you know. Sometimes I feel so alone in my emotions and experiences that making a connection with women who are and have been on this journey is comforting.
I'm due for u/s #2 on Wednesday, Nov. 4, which has me at exactly 6wks. I have this mounting feeling of terror that borders on a panic attack that the u/s will be...well I don't even know how to explain. It's just taken us so many years and being told that it would never happen that I'm terrified that something will go wrong with our babies. I realize that there is nothing I can do, but I just feel sick and can't wait for Wednesday to get here.

pb: hang in there, and know that we all understand that terror here. Before you run into trouble, you think nothing in the world can go wrong. Once you hit a glich of some kind, every appointment becomes an opportunity for disappointing news. Just hang in there until Wed and keep visualizing good results. And I'll be right behind you with an u/s on Fri. I keep visualizing one healthy heartbeat...

Hi All - Especially CarolSue!

CS - remember me - well I have great news! We did an IUI on 10/19 and low and behold I'm pg!

First beta at 12 dp IUI was only 32 but by 15 dp IUI it was 228! They are totally happy and so now my 1st u/s is scheduled for 11/20!

CS - How are you feeling? How are your twins doing?

PB - Congrats on your twins!

(doc said I didn't need to come in for any more betas)

I was hoping that those numbers mean twins but from what I read it does not. We have an U/S on Friday don't know what we will see as I will only be 5w3d

Wow Mel - Those are GREAT! You've got to have multiples in there with those numbers!

Mine are so low compared to yours! Yikes - Let's hope everything turns out ok at my 1st u/s which isn't until the 20th!

Mel I agree with KG525!!! I think maybe twins too!!!!

Just had my 2nd u/s today at 27dpo and we were able to see both

Was sooooo scared over what we would or wouldn't see. Feel much better now and hoping I don't get anxiety again as I do the count down to next wednesday's u/s. I'm on cloud 9 when I leave the RE office and then it seems like each day following I get nervous for the next one with each day worse than the previous! Ugh!

KG: no worries about your betas being lower: they doubled and that is all that matters.

Mel: congrats on your BFP, and good luck with your u/s on Fri. Mine is on Friday too, so I hope it is a lucky day, with each of us getting our dream news.

KG-Oh yeah girl, I so remember you. I am so happy, I know how excited you are waiting for your 1st u/s, it will be awesome!

PB-I totally can relate, I worried and worried and worried, I still do no matter what anyone says about just sitting back and enjoying being pregnant. I do enjoy it but I always have doubt in the back of my mind and still cannot believe that this finally happened for us. We had a bleeding scare at exactly 7weeks and thought for sure we were losing them and went to the ER and thank goodness they were fine. One thing that kinda helps me is, I bought a fetal doppler so I could hear the HB's. I listen to them in the evening for just a second to ease my mind and then I turn it off. I started feeling them move last week and while it is not often yet it makes me feel better too. What you are feeling is normal especially everything that women like us have had to go through.
