I'm a newbie with a beta question

Hi everyone,

My first beta was done at 12 days past my 3 day transfer and came back as 410. My progesterone was 140. They made me stop my progesterone shots. They told me to come back in a week for my second beta (which will be this Tues). We transfered two 8 celled embryos, both grade A (best embryos we've ever got! all the other times they have been poor or mediocre).

My question is... is this beta number rather high? I'm having tons of cramping.... for a week now... and from what I've been reading, I know betas aren't a sure thing, but I'm wondering if I'm in the ballpark for having two in there!! LOL

Thanks for any opinions/advice

Hi,

I'm pretty new here too. My first beta was 12 days past day 3 trans. My beta was 260. Let me know how your 2nd test goes. I go for my first US (ultra sound) 3/28/05 I think that is the only true way to know how many are in there Congratulations on the +++ test. Best of luck.

Michelle

Well my second beta at 19 dp3dt came in at: 6572!!!! I just got the results. We go in for an ultrasound on April 5. I'm thinking there might be more than one in there...,.

Michelle, when did you have your retrieval? Mine was Feb 28. You're lucky you don't have as long to wait for your US!!

I had my retrival 2/23/05. I can not wait until the 28th. Your numbers look great. I had a beta 19 dpt and it was 4,450. I will keep you updated.

Congratulations again !!!
