beta limbo

Hi all. I posted my first beta 14 days post iui which was 18.5. This was on Friday. 2 days later it was 32, then another two days later 56. What is this? I am scheduled for another beta tomorrow (Thursday) and I am going away next week (can't get out of it, inlaw thing, etc...)

I'm so worried about an ectopic. I've been scaring myself that it will rupture (its the #1 cause of maternal death in the 1st trimester according to many scary internet sites that I can't stop looking at!!) So, I'm freaking myself out.

How many betas can they do? I feel like I'm going to have track marks like a junkie from all this bloodletting. Is there any hope? One web site days doubling times should be from 48 to 72 hours, and other sites only give a 48 doubling time. I am driving myself crazy and my husband and family are begging me to stop looking on the internet for horror stories and scaring myself.

Any advice or hopeful stories would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Dont' freak about the ectopics. These are usually women who aren't getting beta checks and happens in several weeks. As far as your betas, they are slow. It could be a blighted ovum or chemical pregnancy... or it could go the right way and be ok. They like to see betas doubling every 48 hours... but yours isn't that far behind. I think youwill have some more definitive answers with your next beta. Good luck to you.
