The wait is so hard I know what you mean, it killed me to wait those two weeks. Stay busy, especially on the weekend. That was always the hardest for me! Best of luck! I'm so excited to see your results!!!

Wow, congratulations on the twins! You must be sooooo excited.

I just realized that I am an idiot. I have a prescription for an U/S on Monday but I never called my local hospital and scheduled it! If they are too busy on Monday and I have to wait, I will just DIE.

My first ultrasound was this morning. I am 6 weeks and 1 day pregnant. It was very good and a little sad at the same time. There were two embies...but my RE said that only one of them is viable. (With the viable one we saw a Heartbeat of 165). The "vanishing" one was tiny and we did not see a heartbeat. My RE said that he does not expect we will even be able to see it at all at the Ultrasound next week. Bitterswet. I am so grateful for the one that appears healthy but sad for the little bean that is "vanishing." Anyone familiar with this? Is there a chance of the tiny one surviving at all? Hope everyone is doing well!

I am not sure about chances for little one surviving. My sister had a vanishing twin. Don't be scared if you start bleeding. She was so scared she fainted. It is completely normal and will not harmyour baby. Congrats on seeing heartbeat!

Thanks for the support guys! I appreciate it. I am blessed to have so far a healthy embie so I will focus on that and stay happy. It's hard though since I'm a little sad about the other twin.

Angela - thanks for the heads up about the possible blood. My RE didn't mention it so I"m glad to know.

Hbby - congrats on your twins. That is WONDERFUL. I am so happy for you and happy you had two beautiful heartbeats.

Wendy - How are you doing? Is everything going ok for you? I am so sorry about your loss. And I'm glad it's not ectopic. Please let me know how everything is going.

Dee - did you get your US appointment made?

*pg and child mentioned

Hi! I just wanted to say congratulations on your one little embie. I had a vanishing twin also. I had NO problems with bleeding, cramping, etc...but the RE did warn me that I may bleed. Anyhow, I just wanted to give you some reassurance. I went on to have a perfectly healthy ds. Good luck, and best wishes!

and its TRIPLETS!!!!

We saw three gestational sacks and three yolk sacks. We were able to see one fetus with a beating heart and one other fetus for about a half a second. The third one we couldn't see but the tech said that its probably there because of the yolk sack. She said it wasn't surprising that we couldn't see all three at this stage because I am just six weeks (technically I think I'm still 5 weeks and 6 days). HELP!!?? : )
