Eli Mae/Heather-

How far along were you when you lost the baby that had the funky beta thing going on?? Do you know why you lost it exactly? Just curious cause I'm going through the funky beta thing myself right now and I'm praying for a miracle!!!

Thanks,
Jen

Okay, I had great betas RIGHT at the beginning. It started at 91...and then went up. Well, at 1,000 (=/- a few) they STOPPED for a week. I went to the ER and they saw two sacs. They told me I was having a m/c, that I had twins but they were not viable, and it was over. So, my RE wanted to do follow ups to make sure my Beta's dropped. Well, they trippled. We went in for u/s and there was one little sac and a fetal pole with a heartbeat. I had lost one of the twins. That was my reason for stall. Then they dropped again, then went up again, but we still had a heartbeat. Well, a week later, the blood from a hemmorhage caused by loosing the first twin resulted in the placenta from baby B to be torn away...we lost baby b too.

Heather -
I'm so sorry that happened to you. What a horrible thing to go through. I also lost twins and I know what a horrible loss it is!!

It's interesting to know what happened to your betas when you had the vanishing twin! It proves my point that that is most likely the reason why my betas went down and then up again!!

I'm sure the hemorrhage must've been awful! I'm truly sorry for your loss! And I'm so happy things are going so well now!!!

All the best.......
Jen

p.s. How far along were you when you ended up in the ER? How about when you lost poor baby B?

Wendy -
I am so sorry for everything you are going through. I would probably stay on the progesterone just in case, although I imagine it is out of your control at this point. (Like we ever have any control with this fertility stuff!) I will say a prayer for you. I know you will have the child you are intended to have...it might be now and it might be later on this year. Hang in there.

Hey Sherrie-

Got my beta today of 1,016 from 565! I'm thrilled with that, plus my RE saw in an u/s what he thinks could be the beginning of a sac!! I'm praying that's what it is and I'm having beta #10 and u/s #3 on Thursday!!

Thanks for checking in with me!!! I hope your beta gets back to zero really soon!!!!

Jen

Sherrie-

When I m/c'd I really did not have any symptoms at all! I didn't know I lost the babies until the u/s showed that the h/b's had stopped. I had 2 D&C's and if I had any cramping, it was from that! I think afterwards my period was a bit heavier than usual. But I didn't have any of the typical m/c symptoms.

Sorry I can't be of more help, Sherrie!! I hope you're doing ok!!! I'm always here if you want to talk!

Jen
