Re: 2ww

I did not know...my HPT's were giving me mixed signals...but then when I went in on Monday, it was not only positive, but the Hcg was at 265. How an HPT could miss that is beside me! No signs though...but I'm really early, only a bit over 4 weeks.

Keep your hopes up....it'll happen! Keep us posted!

Tracey

DonnaR:

I did the HCG shot 1 day before my 2 IUI's ... which is now 21 days ago.

My first beta was 15 or 16 days after the shot. Maybe it is early implantation as you mentioned because I did start spotting for 2 days w/ bad cramps around 6dpiui.
Everyone at that time said it was probably too early for implantation, but in hindsight now, I didn't spot after that or cramp much... so it might be... and the result is high HCG levels now.

Well, that's an interesting way to look at it. I'm glad you brought that up.

Having 3 more wks to wait for my u/s is brutal. I thought the 2ww was hard.
I guess I always have morning sickness to look forward to in the next couple of wks though.... NOT.

2ww

Thanks Tracey. Only thing I want to do is eat more. I am tired and more hungry. Not sure if that is caffeine withdrawal or the progestorone. I think the progestorone makes you more hungry. But, I do have cramping that is why I don't feel my cycle worked. I had 2 blast IVF cycle. One of the blast was a AA getting ready to break out. So we will see. This would be my first. So, I am anxious as usual. The PG test is not til March 1. Really long wait from the day of transfer.
I feel more irritable which I do know is the drugs. And we are not telling anyone til we are further along in the preg. if we are blessed with the opportunity to tell.

Exclamation Updated beta #'s (02-22-05)

Hey there,

I just got my 3rd beta numbers back from this morning.

Beta #1 14dpiui = 319
Beta #2 16dpiui = 849
Beta #3 22dpiui = 11,900 !!

It seems to be doubling every 30hrs now.
I honestly was afraid my levels wouldn't be this high because I haven't been experiencing many pg symptoms, such as m/s yet.

I have slightly sore boobs and feel pretty bloated and every couple of days or so I might get a twinge or a mild cramp, but then nothing.
I'm sure it'll all come in time though :->

I'd like to hear other ppl's beta #'s for days 1,2,3 just to compare.
I was thinking it might be twins, now I'm thinking it's just a early implantation .... or I'm having a 15 lb baby! ha ha

greatpyrs:

Oh my God, you just made my day!
I've been having the lousiest days lately with servious work related stress. I keep thinking the stress is going to take a toll on my body/baby and I'm worried.

When I read your post about you having triplets and you think I'm having more than one, it brought the biggest smile to my face. I really wouldn't mind multiples, as long as they're healthy and my work stress doesn't cause me any damage.

Thanks again. I'm going in for my 4th beta in a few days and will post the numbers then. I have 2 WEEKS still to wait for my first u/s. argh.

Updated 4th beta

Wow, got my 4th beta #'s back today.
Crazy crazy high numbers. I've got 9 days left until my first u/s and the wait is torture! Can't wait.

Anyone here w/ similarily high betas and only have a singelton? Just wondering my odds.

Beta #1 14dpiui = 319
Beta #2 16dpiui = 849
Beta #3 22dpiui = 11,900
Beta #4 28dpiui = 48,600

Wow, normally I would say you probably have more than one but since you didn't take any meds I'm not sure. Do twins run in your family? If not, there are people with extemely high beta numbers who do have singletons (my sister is one of them). Is it possible to move your u/s date up? Maybe you could tell your doctor that you are concerned about the high numbers.

I'm not sure how far back twins run in my family, however, my mother had twin girls (fraternal) -- my two older sisters.

I think my mothers sister also had twins. Other than that, not sure.

I think I'll try to be patient and wait until next week for the u/s. I'll be 8wk pg at that time. I'd rather wait until then just because I'd like to see more on the u/s. Please keep your fingers crossed that everything is okay.

I'll repost next week when I find out more.
Thanks!
